What is COPD?
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the name for a group of lung conditions that cause breathing difficulties. COPD is a common condition that mainly affects middle-aged or older adults who smoke or have smoked.
Jobs that expose people to dust fumes and chemicals can increase the risk of COPD. The risk can also be increased if you have had chest trouble or asthma in childhood.
