How to store Bibecfo

#

Before use: store the inhaler in a refrigerator (at 2-8°C).

After first use: do not store the inhaler above 25°C for a maximum of 3 months.

Do not freeze.

Warning: the canister contains a pressurised liquid.

Do not expose the canister to temperatures higher than 50 °C.

Do not pierce the canister.

#

Do not use this medicine beyond 3 months from the date you get the inhaler from your pharmacist.

Do not use beyond the expiry date on the box or 3 months from the date on the pharmacy dispensing label, whichever is sooner.

Bibecfo dose counter

On the back of your Bibecfo inhaler, there is a dose counter to help you keep track of the amount of medicine left in the canister.

Take care not to drop the inhaler as this may cause the counter to count down

  • The inhaler contains 120 doses. Each time you press the canister, a puff of medicine is released and the counter will count down by one from 120 to 0.

    #
  • You should get a replacement inhaler when the dose indicator shows the number ‘20’.

    #
  • When the dose indicator displays 0, stop using the inhaler. This is because any medicine left in the canister may not be a full dose.

What are the active ingredients in Bibecfo?

Bibecfo contains two active ingredients: beclometasone is a corticosteroid which reduces swelling and irritation in the lungs and formoterol fumarate dihydrate is a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in your airways and helps you to breathe more easily.

Each metered dose (from the inhaler) contains:

#

100 or 200 micrograms of beclometasone dipropionate. Beclometasone is a corticosteroid.

#

6 micrograms of formoterol (as formoterol fumarate dihydrate). Formoterol is a type of medicine called a long-acting bronchodilator, and its effects last at least 12 hours.
